I'm using API 650, AISC Steel Const Manual, ASCE 7, and a book title Above Ground Storage Tanks authored by Meyers as my learning tools - as well as my mentor. Can anyone lead me towards additional resources that will provide confidence in tank design? I wish I could find examples of load distribution for structurally supported roofs, examples  API Cast Steel Valves of beam analysis for roof rafters and girders, columns, shell stiffening, seismic design. .One of my colleagues has started his Civil design website.:www.civildesignhelp.info/ Possibly you will get some reference here for your area of interest.
