Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve: Anti-Corrosion Coating and Packaging Requirements
Proper anti-corrosion treatment and packaging of non-rising stem gate valves are essential for ensuring long service life and damage-free delivery. The following technical requirements apply. The main gate valves product names of China gate Valve Network include:Electric Wafer Knife-shaped Gate Valve,Electro-hydraulic Wafer Knife-shaped Gate Valve,Electric Slurry ValveElectric Flange Gate Valve,Fire Special Signal Relisient Seat Seal Gate Valve,Fire Special Rising Stem Resilient Seat Seal Gate Valve,Forged Steel Socket Welding Valve,Forged Steel Flange Gate Valve
Internal and External Anti-Corrosion Requirements
The valve body and transmission gearbox housing must first undergo shot blasting to thoroughly remove sand and rust. Electrostatic spraying of powder non-toxic epoxy resin should then be applied, achieving a coating thickness of at least 0.3 mm. For exceptionally large valves where electrostatic spraying is impractical, brush or spray application of equivalent non-toxic epoxy paint is acceptable.
Complete anti-corrosion protection must cover the valve interior and all gate components. This serves two purposes: preventing rust when submerged in water and eliminating electrochemical corrosion between dissimilar metals, while the smooth coating surface reduces flow resistance and improves fluid transport efficiency.
Epoxy resins or paints used for internal coating must comply with hygiene safety standards, supported by test reports from authorized inspection institutions. The coating's chemical and physical properties, including adhesion and corrosion resistance, must meet relevant technical specifications.
Packaging and Transportation Specifications
To prevent debris ingress and protect flange faces during transit, lightweight sealing plates should be securely fixed to both valve ends.
For small and medium-diameter valves, straw rope wrapping provides adequate protection, with container shipment being the preferred transport method to minimize handling damage.
Large-diameter valves require simple wooden frame packaging to ensure secure fixation and prevent impact damage during transportation.
