Titanium Gate Valve DN80 Price & Selection: Marine & Offshore Service
Titanium (TA2/Gr2) is the premier material for seawater service. Its dense oxide film gives nearly zero corrosion in marine environments, making it the top choice for offshore platforms, ships, and desalination plants. The main gate valves product names of China gate Valve Network include:GB Bellows Wedge Gate Valve,High Temperature & pressure Power Station Gate Valve,Inside Screw Non-rising Stem Wedge Gate Valve,Insulation Jacket Gate Valve,Lined Gate Valve,MZ44W Rising Stem Gas Quick Open&close ParallelMZ48W Manual Non-rising Stem City Gas Quick Gate Valve,Manual Knife-shaped Gate Valve,Manual Slurry ValveManual Wedge Copper Gate Valve,Manual Vacuum Isolated Wedge Gate Valve,Manual Welding Vacuum Wedge Gate Valve,Manual Wedge Gate Valve

Titanium valves cost 5–8 times more than SS316L due to high material and processing cost.
Why Titanium for Marine Service
Corrosion rate in seawater <0.005 mm/year – lasts >20 years.
No pitting or crevice corrosion, even in stagnant or low‑flow areas.
Low density (4.5 g/cm³), 40% lighter than steel.
Non‑magnetic, ideal for sensitive instruments.
Key Selection Parameters
Material – TA2 (Gr2) is the most common for seawater. TC4 (Gr5) for higher pressure or abrasive seawater.
Stem design – Rising stem preferred for visual indication. Non‑rising for space‑limited areas.
Seat – Stellite hardfacing or direct titanium finish. Do not use PTFE or copper alloys.
Flange standard – GB/T 9113, HG/T 20592, or ANSI B16.5. RF or RTJ facing for high pressure.
Galvanic corrosion – Isolate titanium from carbon steel or copper with insulating gaskets and monel/titanium bolts.
Installation Tips
Avoid direct contact with copper or carbon steel flanges – use insulating kits.
Use soft tools to protect the oxide film; scratches self‑heal in oxygenated seawater but deep crevices may not.
Gasket: ePTFE or flexible graphite spiral wound. No asbestos.
Apply anti‑seize on titanium threads – tighten to 90% of normal torque.
